Lab 8: Editing Tools

Image
A few days ago, I did a lab on an application called "CS6 Photoshop". The first step of this lab was you get 4 different photos with an error on each of the photo, and you had to fix that error. The first picture was grass with an object on it, and in the lower left corner of the image, it was blured out, and we had to make that area match with the grass. The tool i had to use for this image was the, spot healing brush tool. Basically what the tool does is, you select a part of the image, so I picked a spot of grass, and then I had to go to the area that was blured, and I had to rapidly keep pressing on that area, and that area started to match the grass. The second image was a girl mountain climbing, and on the side of the mountain there were holes, and initials, so I had to remove those. So I had to select the content-aware move tool. I had to circle around the area that had holes, select it, and move it, so it wouldn't be in the picture anymore, and I had to do the ...

Project 2: Collage, Silhouette, and Lettering

A few weeks ago, I did a project on an application called "CS6 Photoshop". The first step of this project was to select a famous person, could be an athlete, musician, actor, etc. We had to select a photo of that person, that included their face. Then we had to select 10 different pictures that represent that person. In this case, I did the singer, Michael Jackson. Then we had to open photoshop, create a new file, and place the image of the person you're doing the project on, with their face. Then we had to select the magic wand tool, and cut out their face from the background, create a new layer via copy, and once you've done that, make sure the new layer is an outline of the person's face with nothing inside. Then you select those 10 different photos, and place them next to each other, within the outline of the face. Finally you, go back to the first outline cutout of the picture, and select the type tool. Once you've done that, you have to type something ...

Lab 7: Filters

A few days ago in class, I did a lab on an application called, "CS6 Photoshop". The first step of the lab was to make a new file, which created a blank white canvas. Then I had to select 2 different photos. The first photo had to be something including a human face. The second photo could be anything you want. Then I had to place the first photo in the top-left corner only once. The I had to make 4 more copies of the second photo, which should be a total of 5 duplicates of the second photo, and 6 photos total including the first and second pictures. Then you place the 5 pictures next to the first photo, having 3 on top, and 3 on the bottom. Then you rasterize all the layers, select the first photo(the photo with the face) and liquify it. Liquify is basically changing the picture by stretching it. You can make the facial structures bigger or smaller like the eyes, mouth, nose, or ears. Once you've done that, you select one of the second photos and apply filter on it, whi...
