Lab 4: Photography Hike

Image
In class on Friday, I did a lab on an application called "CS6 Photoshop". The first step of this lab was to take at least 24 pictures by standing in one area and a 360 degree view. I had to make sure I have each of the types of photos: Eye level, High Point, Low Point, Landscape, and close up. After I took the pictures, open photoshop, then open a new file, and select a photo that is a landscape. Then you transform the picture to a smaller size and put it some where on the page, and under the photo, write down what the picture resembles, for example, for the first photo I wrote under it "Landscape". Then you pick 4 more photos, and make sure each of them are different, and they each resemble one type of the photos; high point, low point, close up, and eye level, and do the same thing you did with the first photo. The objective of the lab was to know how take photos and observe the surroundings around it. And to know how to take different types of pictures.

Project 1: Andy Warhol

Image
In class, a few days ago, I did a project. It was based on making a portrait of yourself. The portraits was inspired by a man named, Andy Warhol. I did this project on an application called "CS6 Photoshop". The first step in this lab was to take an image of yourself, and to make it, it's own layer. Then I duplicated the layer, and deleted the original layer. Then with the new later, I had to duplicate it again, and put a new "color fill" layer, which was an all white layer color for the background. Then I went back to the first layer, that I duplicated and, I had to use the magnetic lasso tool, and only select my body. After that, when you have selected our body, you make it a new layer via copy. Then we made the image/new layer black and white, and changed the filter.  Then I, changed the image size. After that, I made it a whole new layer again, and transformed the photo to one-forth of the page, and duplicated the new image 3 more times, and put each image ...

Lab 3: Image Adjustments/Part 2

Image
Today in class, I did a lab which was a part 2 of my previous lab. It was done on an application called "CS6 Photoshop". First what I did in the lab, was I selected an image of a car and made it, it's own layer. Then I reduced the image size to 250 x 186 pixels. Then I, duplicated the same image 4 times, and made 4 layers. Then I moved each image overlapping each other by putting one image in the top left-hand corner, and going downwards toward the middle. Then I selected the first image in the left-hand corner, and went to image adjustments and made the image black and white. Then I selected the second image by using the rectangular elliptical tool, and lowered the image's saturation all the way down. Then for the third picture I, went to the image adjustments, and selected, "Replace Color" and I got to select any color I wanted, so I picked pink. For the last and final image, I selected the "Hue", and got to make it any colors i wanted. The obj...

300 resolution vs. 72 resolution

Today in class, I printed 2 copies of the exact same photo. One of the picture had a resolution of 300, while the other copy of the photo had a resolution of 72. There were some differences between the 2 photos, but it was very difficult to notice the differences. One of the first differences that you might see in the photo was that, the picture with a 300 resolution was more clear and you could see the details in the photo. While the picture with a 72 resolution was, blur and it was kinda difficult to see the background and the details in the whole photo. Another difference between the 2 photos was, the color difference. What I mean by that is, the color weren't what they were supposed to be. The picture with the resolution of 300, had an image that was red, and on the picture with the resolution of 72, the same image that was supposed to be red, turned out to be a pink mixed with red color. Those were the differences that I noticed between the pictures with a 300 and 72 resolutio...

Window vs. Mac

Window vs. Mac. If you had to choose on to have what would you pick. It can be based upon software, looks, etc. I would choose Mac. I think that it's better. One reason why I would choose Mac is because, it does't get any viruses, while windows computers and laptops can get viruses. Another reason I would choose mac is because, in my opinion I think the Macs looks futuristic and better, than Windows look. Another reason why I would choose the Mac over Windows is because, Mac has better software and has more application that can teach people things. For example, Mac is better for people who want to create things like websites, music, games, etc. This is why I would choose Mac over Windows

Lab 2: Image Adjustments

Image
During this week in class on Thursday and Friday,  I did a lab. It was basically about photoshopping a dog, into miniature versions of that dog. This lab was done on an application called "CS6 photoshop". The first step of the lab, was to photoshop and cut out the background of the image, so when the photo is cut out, it would just be the dog, and nothing else in the background. I have to say, throughout the whole lab, that part was the most difficult part of the lab. The next step was, to make up 8-11, layers of the cut-out dog. And after that, we had to transform the layers we just mad to a smaller size, so it could fit all in one page. The next step was to select each layer one by one, and make the dog look different and unique. What I mean by that is, we had to first select a certain layer, and after that we had to pick one image adjustment, and apply it to the dog, we had to do a different image adjustment, for each different layer we had. The final step was simple. It...
