Lab 1: Melon Head

Today in class i did a lab called, "The Melon Head". I did this lab on an application called "CS6 Photoshop". At first when I was doing the lab it was difficult and confusing. I didn't know which tools to use and how they worked. But then later on, I got used to using those tools, and how to use them for the lab. It started to get easier after i learned about the tool. One of those tools was the magnetic lasso tool. And after a while, I was able to finish the lab. If you try to do this lab, the fist thing you should do is watch the tutorial, and learn what does the tool do and how to use it. After that, you should pick out each copy of the fruit and make it into it's own layer  based on where the fruit s gonna be located based on a human face. For example, the carrot was it's own layer and it represented the eyes, and the blueberries was it's own layer, and it was the pupil of the eye. etc. Once you have all the layers and label it as it's own facial part, you organize the layers and move the layers around, and make it look like a "melon head", like an actual face with the facial parts. Once, you are finished with lab, you will see that the new head that you created with the fruits, actually looks like a face. The point of this lab was to see how all the tools are used and to learn the basic steps of photoshop, like making a new layer, moving a layer to make everything look like a picture. It was to help you know what the tools are used for, so in the future when you're doing a lab or project that requires the tools, you would know how to use them correctly. I can see the skills that I used in the future when I have to create another image out of ordinary objects. Also I might need to use other tools in the future when I want to photoshop something, like polygonal and magnetic lasso, and the quicks selection tool.
